Md Ariful Islam graduated with a degree in Marketing in 2007 and subsequently pursued further studies in International Business. He has worked in the retail sector since 2011 and has been leading management teams since 2015, developing extensive experience in leadership, people management, operations, strategic planning, and organisational development.

Alongside his professional career, Ariful is a dedicated community volunteer with a strong passion for environmental sustainability, gardening, and community engagement. He has played a key role in organising community-based projects, educational initiatives, and large-scale plant fairs that encourage sustainable gardening and bring people together from diverse backgrounds.

As a Trustee of Green Shelter Society UK, Md Ariful brings valuable expertise in leadership, governance, stakeholder engagement, and community development. He is committed to supporting the charity’s mission of promoting environmental awareness, sustainable living, and stronger community connections across the UK.

His vision is to help build a greener, healthier, and more connected society by empowering individuals and communities to engage with nature and environmental initiatives.
