Seed Swaps Continue to Grow Across the UK

IMG_0693

Green Shelter Society UK continues to expand its community-led Seed Swap events across towns and cities nationwide. These free events provide an opportunity for local residents to exchange seeds, share growing knowledge, and support sustainable food production within their communities.

We have already successfully delivered Seed Swap and Plant Swap events in Stevenage, London, Bristol, Kent, Swindon, Luton, Cambridge, Birmingham, and Manchester, building strong local participation and partnerships in each area.

Our Seed Swaps promote self-sufficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen connections between gardeners of all experience levels. Thanks to the generosity of our members and our growing Seed Bank, hundreds of gardeners have accessed seeds through our events and postal distribution.

As we work towards delivering Seed Swaps in 100 towns and cities in the short term – and 500 nationwide over the next five years – we are excited to see this movement continue to flourish.
